Vashti possesses a Master's degree in Humanistic Psychology from the University of West Georgia (UWG) and an MBA in Healthcare Administration. With over seven years of experience in the mental health field, she has demonstrated expertise across clinical, research, and administrative sectors.

For the past 20 years, Vashti has actively volunteered and led initiatives within Delta Phi Epsilon (DPhiE), an international women's organisation. They have served as an advisor to members and have played a key role on various committees. As the first Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and a member of the International Governing Board from 2018 to 2024, they have made significant contributions to advancing the organization's mission.

In addition to her impactful work with DPhiE, Vashti has served on the board of The Living Room for Youth, an agency in Oregon dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth. She is currently a Burlesque Hall of Fame Museum board member, further demonstrating her commitment to community service and leadership.
