Why “Wild Iris”?

The Meaning Behind the Brand

Wild

Of the many definitions of “wild” in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the adjective which means “indicative of strong passion, desire, or emotion” is what stands out to us as it pertains to the work of leadership development, inclusion, and creating space for the evolution of the working relationship.

Iris

As with most flowers, the iris, specifically the purple iris, has been assigned specific meanings and intentions when giving or receiving the flower: wisdom, hope, and valor.

Wisdom is associated with attributes such as unbiased judgment, compassion, experiential self-knowledge, self-transcendence and non-attachment, and virtues such as ethics and benevolence.

Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.

Valor is strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness: personal bravery.
